I have seen a bedroom lose its ease over a sofa that was only 8 inches too deep. A compact loveseat can feel like a real retreat when it stays within roughly a 50- to 65-inch width and leaves about 30 to 36 inches for the room’s main passage.
The best layouts give the seating its own territory, whether that is a window wall, an open corner, or the space beyond the bed. Textured upholstery helps, but the floor plan does the serious work.
Center a Window Lounge
