What “Lifetime” Actually Means
Saatva’s lifetime warranty covers manufacturing defects for the life of the mattress. This means if your mattress sags more than 1.5 inches (without an indentation from body weight on a properly supported mattress), Saatva will repair or replace it at no charge.
The key nuance: comfort preference changes are not covered. If your Luxury Firm feels too firm after a year, that’s not a defect — it’s a preference. The warranty covers structural failures, not changes in how the mattress feels.
Foundation Requirement
Using Saatva on an improper foundation can void the warranty. Saatva requires:
- Platform bed with slats no more than 3″ apart
- Solid platform with ventilation
- Saatva Foundation (purchased separately)
- Adjustable base (all Saatva models are compatible)
- Not acceptable: Old box spring (especially coil-type), floor directly, platform with slats over 4″ apart
