Who is the Serta Perfect Sleeper Charlotte Plush for?

The Charlotte Plush Euro Top is aimed at sleepers who want a soft, cushioned surface rather than a firm platform. Its comfort layer is Serta PillowSoft Foam, described by the brand as extra-soft foam that gently contours the body for enhanced cushioning. That is the feel profile of a mattress built for pressure relief at the shoulders and hips, which is what side sleepers usually look for.

The mattress also suits people who share a bed. The 825 Edition Custom Support Coil System uses individually wrapped coils, and Serta states that the system minimizes the impact of a partner’s erratic sleep movements. If you are a combination sleeper who shifts positions at night, the cushioned top gives you a soft surface to land on while the coil system handles support underneath.

What does the construction actually include?

Serta publishes three named technologies for this model, and each one does a specific job in the feel of the mattress.

• Serta PillowSoft Foam: an extra-soft foam that gently contours the body to provide enhanced cushioning.
• 825 Edition Custom Support Coil System: up to 825 individually wrapped coils that provide contouring, cradling support, paired with Serta’s BestEdge Foam Encasement, an extra-deep foam rail designed to reduce edge roll-off and extend the sleep surface.
• Cool Twist Gel Foam: cooling gel swirled directly into a breathable foam designed to promote airflow and heat dissipation.

The coil count figure of up to 825 applies to this specific coil system as Serta names it, and the count varies by mattress size. The BestEdge Foam Encasement detail matters if you sit on the edge of the bed or sleep close to the side, because Serta built the rail specifically to reduce edge roll-off.

How firm is the Charlotte Plush Euro Top?

Serta names this model Plush, and the Euro Top layer is the visible cushioning on top of the support system. The brand does not publish a numeric firmness rating for this mattress, so the feel name and the PillowSoft Foam description are the reference points you have. Plush means the surface gives under your body weight rather than resisting it, which is the opposite of a firm mattress where you feel like you lie on top.

For side sleepers, a plush Euro Top typically lets the shoulder and hip sink in enough to keep the spine aligned. For stomach sleepers, a plush surface can let the midsection drop, so this configuration is generally a harder fit for that position. If you are unsure, the 100-Night Trial gives you a window to sleep on it at home before committing.

What sizes and terms does Serta list?

The Charlotte Plush Euro Top is listed at $799.99 and comes in six sizes, with the standard Serta purchase terms attached to the product page.

Serta’s product page also points shoppers to a 120-Day in-home trial with free delivery on the Serta online mattress collection, so confirm which trial applies to the exact seller and configuration you order. How does the cooling story read on paper?

Cool Twist Gel Foam is the cooling component Serta names for this model. The brand describes it as cooling gel swirled directly into a breathable foam designed to promote airflow and heat dissipation. That is a foam-level feature, not a full temperature-control system, so treat it as one layer of the story rather than the whole thing. The coil system underneath also leaves open space in the mattress core, which is a structural difference from an all-foam build.

Who should NOT buy the Charlotte Plush Euro Top?

Skip this model if you need a firm sleeping surface. Stomach sleepers who want their hips held level, and back sleepers who prefer a hard platform, will find a plush Euro Top works against that preference. Also skip it if you want a trial window longer than 100 nights or a warranty longer than 10 years, because those are the terms Serta lists for this product. Shoppers who want a mattress with a published numeric firmness scale will not find one here, so you are buying on the feel name alone.

Buyers who want a foam cradling feel rather than a coil-based one should look at Serta’s iComfort line instead, which covers memory foam and hybrid models. You can read more in our iComfort ECO review or the iComfortPRO review.

How does it compare with the Saatva Classic?

The Saatva Classic is the alternative if you want more choice in feel and a longer trial. Both are coil mattresses with a Euro pillow top, but the terms and options differ in ways that matter at checkout.

The Charlotte Plush wins on entry price and on a simple single-feel proposition. The Saatva Classic wins on choice, trial length, warranty length, and delivery service. For a fuller look at how the two brands line up, read our Saatva vs Serta comparison. If you are still weighing Serta options, our Perfect Sleeper review covers the line more broadly, and the Serta Classic review covers the entry-price alternative in that range.

What do you get for the money?

At $799.99 you get a 10.5 inch innerspring mattress with three named Serta technologies, a 100-Night Trial, free shipping and returns, and a 10-Year Limited Warranty. The construction is a plush Euro Top over individually wrapped coils with a foam edge rail, which is a conventional and well-understood build. Serta backs the product with more than 90 years of mattress-making experience, and the brand directs shoppers to its retail network as well as its own online collection.

If a longer trial, a longer warranty, or firmness choice matters more, the price gap to a mattress that offers those terms is worth calculating before you order.

World Sleep Almanac score: 7.6/10

World Sleep Almanac score: 7.6/10. Our editorial rating weighs five criteria: price at the same size, trial and return terms, warranty length, materials and construction, and publicly stated brand terms. The Charlotte Plush Euro Top scores well on price and on a clearly named three-layer construction, and loses ground on a 100-night trial and a 10-year warranty when longer terms are available elsewhere in the market. The score is an editorial judgment, not a lab result, and it reflects what Serta publishes for this specific model.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Charlotte Plush Euro Top good for side sleepers?

Serta names this model Plush and describes its comfort layer as extra-soft foam that contours the body for enhanced cushioning. That combination is the profile side sleepers usually look for, since a soft surface lets the shoulder and hip sink in. The 100-Night Trial is your window to confirm the feel works for your body at home.

Does the Charlotte Plush Euro Top sleep cool?

Serta includes Cool Twist Gel Foam, described as cooling gel swirled into a breathable foam designed to promote airflow and heat dissipation. This is one layer in the mattress rather than a full cooling system, so it is a supporting feature rather than the main reason to buy.

How many coils are in this mattress?

The 825 Edition Custom Support Coil System features up to 825 individually wrapped coils, with the exact count varying by mattress size. The system also includes Serta’s BestEdge Foam Encasement, an extra-deep foam rail designed to reduce edge roll-off.

Can I buy the Charlotte Plush Euro Top online?

Serta’s product page points shoppers to its retail network and also mentions the Serta online mattress collection with free delivery. Confirm the seller, the trial terms, and the size-specific price before you order, since terms can differ by channel.

What is the difference between this and the Serta Classic?

The Serta Classic is offered in three feels (Firm, Medium, and Plush Euro Top) and starts at a lower listed price, while the Charlotte Plush Euro Top is a single plush configuration at $799.99 with its own named coil system and foam layers. Read the Serta Classic review for the full breakdown.
