Which mattress has the longest sleep trial in 2026?

All five mattresses on this list have an officially stated 365-night trial, so trial length alone does not separate them.

Since the trial window is a tie across all five picks, the decision comes down to build, feel, delivery, and warranty. Saatva Classic is an innerspring mattress with a dual-coil design and a 3 inch Euro pillow top. PlushBeds Botanical Bliss is an organic latex mattress with GOLS certified latex and a lifetime warranty. Puffy Legacy is a hybrid with Talalay latex and horsehair. Birch Elite Natural is a natural hybrid with organic latex and steel coils. DreamCloud PressureSmart Extra Firm is a pillow top hybrid built around a firm feel. Among these five picks, construction ranges from all-foam latex to hybrid designs with coils.

What are the best mattresses with a 365-night trial?

Our ranked list for 2026 runs: 1. Saatva Classic, 2. PlushBeds The Botanical Bliss Organic Latex, 3. Puffy Legacy, 4. Birch Elite Natural, and 5. DreamCloud PressureSmart Extra Firm. Each of these five carries an officially stated 365-night trial. The order reflects trial terms, delivery service, construction transparency, and how clearly each brand states its warranty.

1. Saatva Classic

Who it suits: Shoppers who want a full year to decide and prefer the mattress delivered, set up, and the old one taken away. Saatva Classic also fits sleepers who want a choice of feel, since it comes in three comfort levels: Plush Soft, Luxury Firm, and Firm.Plush Soft (3/10), Luxury Firm (5-7/10), and Firm (8/10) on Saatva’s own firmness scale, where 1 is softest and 10 is firmest.

• 365-night home trial on all Saatva mattresses, with a pressure-free decision window
• Free white glove delivery including in-room delivery and setup, plus free old mattress removal when you check the removal box at checkout
• Lifetime warranty covering defects in workmanship and materials for as long as the original purchaser owns the mattress, with a Fairness Replacement Option
• 3 inch Euro pillow top over a dual-coil design of triple-tempered recycled carbon steel coils, with over 1,000 coils in full size and up
• Two heights, 11.5 inches and 14.5 inches, with the 11.5 inch version compatible with an adjustable base

Honest drawback: The Saatva Classic is an innerspring with a pillow top, so a shopper who wants an all-latex or all-foam build will not find it here.

Read our full coverage of the brand’s trial terms and the Saatva accessories and bedding hub for pairing ideas.

2. PlushBeds The Botanical Bliss Organic Latex

Who it suits: Shoppers who want organic certified latex and a full year to test it, plus a comfort exchange if the first firmness is not right. PlushBeds lists a 365 night return policy, a 365 night comfort exchange, and a Forever Warranty on the Botanical Bliss.

• GOLS certified organic latex, with GOTS certification on the organic components
• Three heights: 9 inches, 10 inches, and 12 inches, each available in Medium and Med-Firm
• Sizes from Twin through Split Cal King, including Split Queen and dual firmness split options
• Free US shipping excluding Alaska and Hawaii, with the mattress shipping within 4 to 7 business days

See our PlushBeds Botanical Bliss review for the full breakdown.

3. Puffy Legacy

Who it suits: Shoppers who want a hybrid with responsive Talalay latex and a soft, breathable build, backed by a 365 night sleep trial and a lifetime warranty. Puffy describes the Legacy as handcrafted to order and shipping in 7 business days, with free shipping and free returns.

• Hybrid build with responsive Talalay latex and horsehair for airflow, which Puffy calls NobleAire
• Sizes from Twin XL through Split King, including Queen, King, and Cal King
• 365 night sleep trial with free returns
• Lifetime warranty
• Free delivery, with the mattress handcrafted to order and shipping in 7 business days

Honest drawback: The Legacy is positioned as an ultra luxury model, so shoppers who want a simpler build may find it more mattress than they need.

4. Birch Elite Natural

Who it suits: Shoppers who want a natural hybrid with organic latex and wool, plus a 365 night sleep trial and a limited lifetime warranty. Birch also runs a comfort guarantee and lists HSA and FSA eligibility on the Elite Natural.

• Euro top with an organic cotton quilted cover and three inches of natural New Zealand wool
• Steel microcoil layer over a base of 8 inch steel coils
• Free US shipping, assembled in Arizona, shipping in 3 to 5 business days
• Optional EcoCool layer that the brand says moves up to 23 percent more heat away from the body for over 12 hours

Honest drawback: Birch states that other sleep accessories, including protectors, pillows, sheets, and weighted blankets, must be returned within 30 days of delivery, which is much shorter than the mattress trial.

5. DreamCloud PressureSmart Extra Firm

Who it suits: Shoppers who want a firm pillow top feel and a full year at home. DreamCloud lists a 365-night home trial and a Forever Warranty on the PressureSmart Extra Firm, along with free shipping and returns.

• Extra Firm Pillow Top feel, aimed at back, stomach, and combination sleepers who prefer a more supportive surface
• PressureSmart Technology with a dedicated support band for the lower back and hips
• Individually wrapped coil system with strengthened perimeter coils for edge to edge support

Honest drawback: The PressureSmart Extra Firm comes in one firmness, so shoppers who want a softer feel or a choice of feels will need to look at another model.

How do the five verified 365-night mattresses compare?

All five mattresses in this ranked list have an officially stated 365-night trial, so the comparison turns on feel, construction, warranty, and delivery. The table below lines up each model in ranked order.

Who should buy the Saatva Classic, and who should look elsewhere?

The Saatva Classic is the right pick for a shopper who wants a 365-night home trial, a lifetime warranty, and free white glove delivery that includes in-room setup and removal of the old mattress. It suits sleepers who want a choice of feel, since Saatva offers Plush Soft at 3/10, Luxury Firm at 5-7/10, and Firm at 8/10 on its own scale, where 1 is softest and 10 is firmest. The Saatva Classic is an innerspring with a dual-coil design and a 3 inch Euro pillow top, so a shopper who wants organic latex or an all-foam build should look at the PlushBeds Botanical Bliss or another all-foam model instead.

Who should look elsewhere: a shopper who wants a purely natural or organic build should consider the PlushBeds Botanical Bliss Organic Latex, which carries GOLS certified organic latex and a Forever Warranty alongside its 365 night return policy. A shopper who wants a firm pillow top feel with a single firmness option should consider the DreamCloud PressureSmart Extra Firm, which pairs its Extra Firm Pillow Top feel with a 365-night home trial and a Forever Warranty. And a shopper who wants an ultra luxury hybrid with Talalay latex and horsehair should consider the Puffy Legacy, which carries a 365 night sleep trial and a lifetime warranty.

How should you choose a mattress for a long sleep trial?

All five mattresses here have officially stated 365-night trials, so the real differences are the return process, the comfort exchange, and the warranty. Birch runs a comfort guarantee alongside its 365 night sleep trial. Saatva describes its trial as pressure-free, with easy returns, and covers the mattress under a lifetime warranty with a Fairness Replacement Option.

If you want latex, the PlushBeds Botanical Bliss and the Birch Elite Natural both use GOLS certified organic latex, and our best latex mattresses guide covers that category in depth. If you want an organic build overall, our best organic mattresses guide is the place to compare. If you want a hybrid with a choice of firmness, our best hybrid mattresses guide lines up the options, and if you want an all-foam feel, our best memory foam mattresses guide covers that build.

Finally, check delivery. Saatva includes free white glove delivery with in-room setup and old mattress removal. Puffy, Birch, and DreamCloud all list free shipping, with Puffy shipping in 7 business days and Birch in 3 to 5 business days. If you want the mattress set up in the room and the old one taken away, Saatva is the only brand on this list that states that service is included at no additional cost.

World Sleep Almanac score: 8.6/10

We score the Saatva Classic on the criteria that matter for a long-trial purchase: trial and returns, warranty, delivery, materials and construction, and price transparency. The Saatva Classic earns its 8.6 out of 10 on the strength of a 365-night home trial, a lifetime warranty with a Fairness Replacement Option, free white glove delivery with old mattress removal, and a dual-coil innerspring build with three comfort levels and two heights. Our scoring is editorial, and each criterion is rated from the brand’s own published terms.

• Trial and returns: 9/10. A 365-night home trial with easy returns, described by Saatva as pressure-free.
• Choice of feel: 8/10. Three comfort levels and two heights, including an adjustable-base compatible 11.5 inch version.

Who should NOT buy a 365-night trial mattress?

If you already know the exact feel you want and have slept on a similar mattress for years, a full year of testing adds little. If you move frequently or expect to relocate within the year, coordinating a return or a swap on a large mattress is harder than it sounds. And if you want a specific build, such as organic latex or a single firmness option, the trial length should come second to the construction.

The other consideration is delivery. If you cannot be home for an in-room delivery and setup, Saatva’s white glove service may not suit your schedule, and a carrier-shipped mattress from Puffy, Birch, or DreamCloud may be easier to receive. If you want the mattress set up and the old one removed, Saatva states that service is included. If you would rather have the mattress arrive by carrier and set it up yourself, Puffy, Birch, and DreamCloud all list free shipping.

What is the Saatva alternative for a long sleep trial?

The Saatva Classic is our top pick, but it is not the only option with a 365-night trial. The PlushBeds The Botanical Bliss Organic Latex is the strongest alternative for a shopper who wants organic certified latex, since it pairs GOLS certified organic latex with a 365 night return policy, a 365 night comfort exchange, and a Forever Warranty. The Birch Elite Natural is a second natural alternative, with organic latex, New Zealand wool, and a limited lifetime warranty alongside its 365 night sleep trial.

For a shopper who wants the Saatva ecosystem rather than a different brand, the brand also offers an adjustable base that pairs with the 11.5 inch Saatva Classic, and the Saatva accessories hub covers pillows, pads, and bedding that go with the mattress. Saatva also runs seasonal promotions, so if you are shopping during a sale period, our Saatva Black Friday sale page tracks what the brand offers. The brand runs frequent sales, so check today’s price before you order.

Frequently asked questions

What does a 365-night mattress trial actually mean?

A 365-night trial means the brand gives you a full year at home with the mattress before you have to decide. Saatva states that all of its mattresses come with a 365-night home trial, and describes the period as pressure-free with easy returns. PlushBeds lists a 365 night return policy on the Botanical Bliss, and Birch describes its 365 night sleep trial as starting the day the mattress arrives at your door.

Is a 365-night trial longer than the standard mattress trial?

Yes. Most mattress trials run shorter than a full year, and every mattress on this list has a 365-night trial, the longest verified window among these models. The trial length is the same across all five picks, so the decision comes down to build, feel, delivery, and warranty rather than the number of nights.

Can you return a mattress after 365 nights?

The trial window is the period during which a return is possible under the brand’s terms. Saatva describes its 365-night home trial with easy returns, and PlushBeds lists a 365 night return policy on the Botanical Bliss. Birch states that its 365 night sleep trial covers the mattress, while other sleep accessories must be returned within 30 days of delivery.

Which mattress with a 365-night trial is best for side sleepers?

The Saatva Classic in Plush Soft, which Saatva rates at 3/10 on its own scale where 1 is softest and 10 is firmest, is designed for side sleepers who need extra pressure relief at the hips and shoulders. The PlushBeds Botanical Bliss in Medium is another option for sleepers who want organic latex.

Do all 365-night mattresses come with a lifetime warranty?

Not all of them, but several do. Saatva covers its mattresses under a lifetime warranty for as long as the original purchaser owns the mattress, with a Fairness Replacement Option. PlushBeds lists a Forever Warranty on the Botanical Bliss, Puffy lists a lifetime warranty on the Legacy, and DreamCloud lists a Forever Warranty on the PressureSmart Extra Firm. Birch lists a limited lifetime warranty on the Elite Natural.

Bottom line: the Saatva Classic is the pick for a shopper who wants a full year to decide, a choice of three comfort levels, and free white glove delivery with old mattress removal. The PlushBeds The Botanical Bliss Organic Latex is the alternative for a shopper who wants organic certified latex and a comfort exchange inside the same 365 night window.
