A strong alternative

If you want a Saatva instead: Saatva Classicthe innerspring option with a Euro pillow top

Sizes run Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, and Cal King. Lucid lists official prices across the range from $290 to $400, with the Queen at $390. The mattress carries CertiPUR-US certification, which means the foams were analyzed by independent, accredited testing laboratories for content, emissions, and durability.

The Lucid Premium Memory Foam feels medium-plush in the configuration Lucid recommends for back and side sleepers, and medium-firm in the configuration the brand describes as suitable for all sleep styles. Lucid does not publish a numbered firmness rating for this mattress, so the two named feels are the guide: the plush option gives a deeper sink-in contour, and the medium-firm option keeps you closer to the surface.

The feel comes from the layer stack. A top layer of memory foam cushions pressure points, a second layer of bamboo charcoal and cooling gel infused memory foam adds contour, a transition foam sits between comfort and support, and a base foam of 6.5 to 9 inches depending on configuration carries the load. The result is a surface that cradles rather than springs, which is the defining difference between this mattress and an innerspring build.

Side sleepers get the most from the medium-plush option, since the thicker comfort layers give hips and shoulders room to settle. Combination sleepers who rotate between back, side, and stomach positions are steered by Lucid toward the medium-firm option. If you want to see how foam feels against other builds, our best memory foam mattresses for 2026 collects the leading options in this category.

Lucid says a cooling gel infusion pulls heat away from the body and bamboo charcoal helps capture odors, while the memory foam limits motion transfer between sleepers. These are the brand’s own statements about its materials, and they describe the intended behavior of the gel and charcoal infusions rather than a measured result.

The practical read: gel-infused memory foam and bamboo charcoal are the two features Lucid builds in for temperature and freshness, and the foam construction is the reason motion stays contained to one side of the bed. Shoppers who want a coil-based alternative with a breathable pillow top can compare options in our best mattresses for side sleepers selection.

The Lucid Premium Memory Foam is listed at $390 for a Queen, and the full size range runs from $290 to $400 across the seven sizes and two heights. Lucid ships free sitewide, and the mattress arrives compressed with a 24 to 72 hour decompression window before use. Lucid also notes HSA and FSA eligibility on the product page, which can reduce the effective out-of-pocket cost for qualifying buyers.

The purchase is covered by a 100-night sleep trial with free shipping and easy returns, plus a 10-year limited warranty that applies to products purchased in the United States. An optional protection plan is offered at checkout for buyers who want coverage beyond the standard warranty.

Sleepers who need a firm surface should pass on the Lucid Premium Memory Foam, since both of its feels sit on the softer side of the spectrum and Lucid itself points shoppers with back pain toward firmer mattresses for spinal alignment. Stomach sleepers and heavier body types who want a surface that resists sinking are better served by a firmer build, and our best firm mattresses for 2026 collects options built for that need.

Hot sleepers should also weigh the choice carefully. Gel infusion and bamboo charcoal are the cooling features Lucid builds in, and a foam mattress retains warmth differently than a coil build with an open pillow top. If temperature is your main concern, a mattress with a spring system and breathable cover is the more natural fit.

Finally, buyers who want a trial longer than 100 nights or a warranty longer than 10 years will find the Lucid Premium Memory Foam behind the alternatives. A Saatva Classic carries a 365-night home trial and a lifetime warranty, both longer than the 100-night trial and 10-year limited warranty on the Lucid.

The Lucid Premium Memory Foam is an all-foam mattress with a 100-night trial and a 10-year limited warranty, while the Saatva Classic is an innerspring mattress with a 365-night home trial and a lifetime warranty. The two builds differ at the core: Lucid stacks memory foam, transition foam, and base foam, and Saatva uses a dual-coil system under a 3 inch Euro pillow top.
