It is a 12-inch tall, four-layer foam build with zoned support and pressure relief, sold exclusively at Costco, so the buying decision is simple: pick your size and you are done. It suits people who value a 10-year limited warranty and CertiPUR-US certified foams over long trial periods or in-room setup services.

It is a good fit if you are furnishing a guest room, a first apartment, or a kid’s bedroom and you want a known brand at a warehouse price. The six sizes cover every standard bed frame, from a 38-inch wide Twin up to a 76-inch wide King, and the weights are listed for each size so you know what you are handling on delivery day. Because the model is exclusive to Costco, it is also the right choice if you already shop there and prefer to handle the purchase through a retailer you use regularly.

It is less suited to sleepers who want to choose between firmness levels, since the Casper Select is offered as one configuration. It is also not the pick if you want an innerspring or hybrid build, because the spec sheet describes foam layers only.

What are the Casper Select’s key specs?

The Casper Select stands 12 inches tall across all six sizes, uses four layers of premium foam with zoned support, and is CertiPUR-US certified. Here is the full specification sheet as published.

Specification

Casper Select

Construction

4 layers of premium foam, zoned support, pressure relief

Height

12 inches (all sizes)

Twin

38 in W x 75 in L x 12 in H, 56 lbs

Twin XL

38 in W x 80 in L x 12 in H, 59 lbs

Full

53 in W x 75 in L x 12 in H, 73 lbs

Queen

60 in W x 80 in L x 12 in H, 85 lbs

King

76 in W x 80 in L x 12 in H, 104 lbs

Cal King

72 in W x 84 in L x 12 in H, 102 lbs

Foam certification

CertiPUR-US certified foams

VOC emissions

Low, less than 0.5 parts per million for indoor air quality

Warranty

10-year limited warranty

Availability

Exclusively at Costco

A Queen weighs 85 lbs and a King weighs 104 lbs. Every size is 12 inches tall, so your fitted sheets and any bed frame with a low clearance will behave the same regardless of which size you choose.

How does the Casper Select feel and support you?

The Casper Select uses four layers of premium foam with zoned support and pressure relief, which is the brand’s own description of how the mattress is built. Zoned support means the foam is arranged to give different levels of support across the mattress surface, and pressure relief means the top layers are designed to cushion high-pressure areas such as the hips and shoulders.

Because the spec sheet describes the build rather than a firmness number, the practical takeaway is this: this is a foam mattress, so you will feel contouring rather than the push-back of springs. If you sleep on your side or your back and you prefer a surface that cradles rather than resists, a four-layer foam build with zoned support is the general category you are shopping in. If you want to compare how foam feels against other constructions, our best mattresses for side sleepers is the natural next read.

The 12-inch height puts it in the standard range for a foam mattress, tall enough for a substantial comfort layer without needing deep-pocket sheets. There is no separate comfort level to select, so the feel you read about is the feel you receive.

What do the CertiPUR-US foams mean for you?

The foams in the Casper Select are certified by the CertiPUR-US program, which means they are made without ozone-depleting chemicals, and they have low VOC emissions for indoor air quality, measured at less than 0.5 parts per million. CertiPUR-US is an independent certification program for flexible polyurethane foam, and the certification covers how the foam is made rather than how the finished mattress performs.

Our foams are certified by the CertiPUR-US program, meaning they are made without ozone depleting chemicals, with low VOC emissions for indoor air quality. If certified materials are a priority across your whole bedroom, our best organic mattresses for 2026 collects the options that go further on materials.

What sizes and weights does the Casper Select come in?

The Casper Select comes in six sizes: Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, and Cal King, all at 12 inches tall. The weights run from 56 lbs for a Twin up to 104 lbs for a King, with the Cal King slightly lighter than the King at 102 lbs.

Twin and Twin XL: both 38 inches wide, differing only in length at 75 and 80 inches, weighing 56 and 59 lbs.

Full: 53 inches wide by 75 inches long, 73 lbs.

Queen: 60 inches wide by 80 inches long, 85 lbs.

King and Cal King: 76 and 72 inches wide respectively, both 80 and 84 inches long, at 104 and 102 lbs.

A King at 104 lbs is a two-person carry through a tight corner, and the mattress is 12 inches tall, so it will not compress much if you try to bend it around a landing.

Still deciding? The Casper Select is a single foam configuration, so the choice comes down to size and budget rather than firmness.
See the Saatva Classic price in your size →

What does the Casper Select cost and where do you buy it?

The Casper Select is sold exclusively at Costco, so the price you pay is the price Costco lists for your size on the day you order. Availability and pricing at Costco can change, so confirm the current figure for your size before you commit.

Buying through Costco also means the retailer’s own return and delivery terms apply alongside Casper’s warranty. Read both before ordering, because they cover different things: the retailer handles the transaction and the return window, while the 10-year limited warranty covers defects in the mattress itself.

What warranty does the Casper Select carry?

The Casper Select is covered by a 10-year limited warranty. That is the full extent of the warranty term published for this model, and it is the figure to hold the product to.

A 10-year limited warranty on a mattress sold at a warehouse price is a standard arrangement for this category. Keep your proof of purchase and the Costco order record together, since a warranty claim will need both the date of purchase and the model identification.

Who should NOT buy the Casper Select?

Skip the Casper Select if you want to choose between firmness levels, because this model is offered as one configuration with no comfort options at checkout. Skip it if you want an innerspring or hybrid build, since the published spec sheet describes foam layers only. Skip it if you want a long home trial, in-room delivery and setup, or old-mattress removal, because those services are not part of this model’s listed terms.

It is also the wrong call if you do not shop at Costco, since availability is exclusive to that retailer. And if you want a mattress with a longer warranty than 10 years, this is not it.

For shoppers who want a coil-led mattress with selectable comfort levels, a 365-night home trial, free white-glove delivery with in-room setup and old-mattress removal, and a lifetime warranty, the Saatva Classic is the alternative described below. It is a different construction at a different price point, and it is the right comparison only if those specific terms matter to you.

Is the Saatva Classic a better fit for you?

If you want a Saatva instead: the Saatva Classic is a coil-led mattress with a 3-inch Euro pillow top, a dual-coil design using triple-tempered recycled carbon steel coils, and three selectable comfort levels. Plush Soft is rated 3 out of 10, Luxury Firm is rated 5 to 7 out of 10, and Firm is rated 8 out of 10. It is available in two heights, 11.5 inches and 14.5 inches, and it carries a lifetime warranty.

The Saatva Classic comes with a 365-night home trial and free white-glove delivery that includes in-room setup and removal of your old mattress at no additional cost. It is CertiPUR-US certified and GREENGUARD Gold certified, and it is endorsed by the American Chiropractic Association. Patented Lumbar Zone Technology is built into the design for spinal alignment, and the cover is a breathable blend that includes organic cotton.

The comparison is straightforward: the Casper Select is a foam mattress with one configuration and a 10-year limited warranty, while the Saatva Classic is a coil-led mattress with three comfort levels, two heights, and a lifetime warranty. If you want to compare these two directly against other options, our Saatva vs Casper comparison covers the wider picture.

A strong alternative

If you want a Saatva instead: Saatva Classicthree comfort levels, two heights, coil-led support

365-night home trial

Free white-glove delivery and old-mattress removal

Lifetime warranty

Plush Soft, Luxury Firm and Firm comfort levels

Check today’s Saatva price →

World Sleep Almanac score: 7.0/10

The World Sleep Almanac editorial score is built from five criteria, each rated on the published facts for this model and then weighted into a single figure. Here is how the Casper Select breaks down.

Materials and construction: 8/10. Four layers of premium foam, zoned support, 12-inch height, and CertiPUR-US certified foams with low VOC emissions under 0.5 parts per million.

Size range and specifications: 8/10. Six sizes from Twin to Cal King, each with published dimensions and weights, all at a consistent 12 inches tall.

Warranty: 7/10. A 10-year limited warranty, which is a defined term but shorter than the lifetime coverage some competitors publish.

Buying terms and trial: 6/10.

Public customer reviews: 6/10.

Those five criteria average to the 7.0/10 shown above. The score is an editorial judgment based on the published specification, not a hands-on test result.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Casper Select available outside Costco?

No. The Casper Select is listed as exclusively available at Costco, so the warehouse is the only retail channel for this model. If you do not have a Costco membership or a nearby warehouse, this is not the mattress to plan around.

How tall is the Casper Select and will it fit my sheets?

The Casper Select is 12 inches tall in every size, from Twin through Cal King.

Does the Casper Select come in different firmness levels?

No. The Casper Select is offered as a single configuration with four layers of premium foam and zoned support. There is no second comfort level to choose at checkout, so the build described in the spec sheet is the build you receive.

What certifications do the foams carry?

The foams are certified by the CertiPUR-US program, which means they are made without ozone-depleting chemicals and without the regulated phthalates, and they have low VOC emissions for indoor air quality at less than 0.5 parts per million. CertiPUR-US is an independent foam certification program.

How heavy is the Casper Select to move?

Weights range from 56 lbs for a Twin to 104 lbs for a King, with the Queen at 85 lbs and the Cal King at 102 lbs. Plan for two people on the Queen and above, especially if you have stairs or tight corners on the delivery path.

Verdict: should you buy the Casper Select?

The Casper Select is a solid, no-nonsense foam mattress for Costco shoppers who want one clearly specified model rather than a menu of options. Its four layers of premium foam, zoned support, 12-inch height, and CertiPUR-US certification give you a straightforward spec sheet, and the six sizes cover every standard bed frame with published dimensions and weights. The 10-year limited warranty is the coverage term, and the single configuration means there is no firmness decision to get wrong.

Buy it if you shop at Costco, you want foam comfort with zoned support, and you are happy with a 10-year warranty and no published trial period. Skip it if you want selectable firmness, a coil build, a longer trial, or in-room setup, since those belong to other brands rather than to this model’s listed terms.

If you want a Saatva instead, the Saatva Classic offers three comfort levels, two heights, a 365-night home trial, free white-glove delivery with old-mattress removal, and a lifetime warranty. Check today’s Saatva price →

Reviewed by the World Sleep Almanac editorial team.
