Our pick

Saatva Classicthe innerspring alternative if you want a firm feel with a home trial

Check today’s Saatva price →

The Bedgear H2 Hybrid Performance is a 12-inch firm hybrid mattress sold under the Bedgear Performance mattress line at a listed price of $1,299.99. It combines a Ver-Tex cooling top cover, a 4-inch React comfort layer rated medium-firm, a 6-inch foam encased suspension unit of individually wrapped coils, and a 2-inch durable support base, and it is adjustable base compatible. Bedgear sells it in one firmness option only, Firm (H2), and in ten bedding size variants: Twin, Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, Cal King, Split Head Queen, Split Head King, Split Head Cal King, and Split King.

The Bedgear H2 Hybrid Performance suits shoppers who already know they want a firm hybrid and who value a cooling cover as a headline feature. It fits buyers who are comfortable purchasing from a brand site that lists a 10-Year Limited Manufacturer’s Warranty and free shipping on orders of $300 or more within the 48 contiguous United States. According to the official specifications, the mattress is built for sleepers who prefer a firm hybrid feel, with individually wrapped coils described as delivering structured, responsive support to keep you aligned. The React foam layer is described as breathable and conforming, intended to relieve pressure throughout the night. If you are a firm-mattress shopper who also wants a cool-to-the-touch surface, this is the profile Bedgear designed the H2 for. Buyers who prioritize a long home trial, white-glove delivery, or a lifetime warranty should read the policy section below carefully, because the documented Bedgear terms differ on each of those points. The official page lists a 10-Year Limited Manufacturer’s Warranty and free shipping, but does not document a home trial period.

The comfort layer is labeled medium-firm in the build list, while the overall mattress is sold as Firm (H2).

The materials list also confirms the React foam is CertiPUR-U certified and that the mattress is adjustable base compatible. Care instructions are simple: Bedgear states its standard Performance mattresses are spot clean only.

Cooling is the central marketing claim for this mattress, and Bedgear bases it on the Ver-Tex cover plus airflow built into the layers. The official page states that the Ver-Tex advanced cooling cover dissipates heat and wicks away moisture for cooler, drier sleep, and that all Bedgear Performance mattresses feature Ver-Tex instant-cooling covers which dissipate excess heat to help reduce overheating. The brand also states that it builds airflow into every mattress through perforated foam, and that the individually wrapped coils enhance airflow. These are the brand’s own documented statements. The facts reviewed here contain no independent temperature test data, no measured surface temperature figures, and no third-party lab results for the H2 Hybrid Performance, so treat the cooling language as a manufacturer claim rather than a verified measurement. For buyers, the practical check is straightforward: confirm on the official page what the current return window is, since a cooling claim is best evaluated in your own bedroom over several weeks. If you sleep hot, also confirm the trial terms before ordering, because no trial length is stated for this model.

The H2 Hybrid Performance is listed in ten bedding size variants, with published dimensions for six of them, all at 12 inches high and all in Firm (H2).
